The first official binary version of Lucas Chess on Linux has just been released. It has only been made possible by the great work done by Laudecir Daniel , choosing and compiling the 67 engines, as well as laying the groundwork so that the binaries can be more widely used and others such as shortcut creation, installation scripts, ...... In addition, Graham O'Neill has provided Linux-specific drivers for several digital boards. This version has two limitations : 64-bit Linux OS only. Minimum GNU libc version: 2.26 (ldd --version shows it) Installation has been made as simple as possible: The installer is a .sh file, generated with the makeself tool, and can be downloaded from: SourceForge , GitHub The file must be run from a terminal with user permissions only: sh ./LucasChessR123_LINUX.sh Launches a GUI with very basic options: Install: Installs in LucasChessR folder inside the home user folder. Generates a shortcut in Applications > Games Launch the application at the end
Hi, Lucas,
ReplyDeleteI wonder if it is possible to choose a range of move numbers while creating "Find best move" training set from mass analysis. It would be very good to be able to generate exercises from, say, only middlegame positions (moves #7 throug #20, for example), and skip endgame positions, or vice-versa.
Or it could be one of the "Generate new trainigs" utilities in Find the best moves. In addition to the exisiting "divide" and "extract" options, we could generate a subset based on move numbers. Shouldn't be very hard, right?
Thanks for all the effort!
In Create a Game, I click "help to move". Is there a way to copy the PGN of the moves suggested by the engine? I can only see copy FEN. Thankz in advance.
ReplyDeleteI have used the easy way, using analysis processes, then as the move is not done, it is not possible to add other moves as variations.
DeleteYou must move and analyze again.
Hi, how can I convert the Tactics by UNED chess school to pgn? I want to merge them as one.
ReplyDeleteI´ll try to include in Database Positions option, the possibility to import from fns files.
DeleteJust checking - I would also like to be able to access all of the UNED tactics as one mixed file. Is this possible?
DeleteManually, exec cmd to create a terminal, go to program directory (Program Files (x86)/LucasChess) subfolder Trainings\Tactics by UNED chess school, then copy *.fns uned.fns, then cut that file and copy in the folder:
Delete..\..\UsrData\Personal Training\
Got it - thank you very much!
DeleteHello Lucas,
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if you can add some kind of "alert" when there is a tactics
for example in :
after your opponent make a move : it alerts you,
Thank you.
Tactics ?
DeleteYou could use kibitzers to know which is the state of the game.
Probably I don´t understand, explain me more if so.
