The idea is to combine the four tabs — Filter, Players, Performance Rating, and Opening Explorer — into a powerful analysis tool.
Here's how:
1. FILTER TAB
-
Create filters for specific usernames and time controls (e.g.,
MeOnLichess 180
,MyChessCom 60+2
) -
Track games vs. regular opponents using combined usernames
-
Save and reuse filters
2. PERFORMANCE RATING & STATISTICS TAB
2a) Identify Rematch Series & Openings Used
-
Sort by Score to find players you've faced multiple times
-
Use the Players tab to select the player and switch to Opening Explorer to view opening breakdowns
2b) How Often Do I Draw?
-
Sort by name, select yourself, and check Results for draw stats
2c) Retrieve Results from Past Lichess Tournaments
-
Import or filter games using
Site=*lichess*
, and event name (e.g.,*Arena
) -
Select the period, go to the tab, and sort by Score to recreate the cross table
2d) Rank and Compare Performance in Online Tournaments
-
Download and import the tournament game set into a new database
-
Sort by Score to rank by results
-
Sort by Performance to compare actual play strength
2e) Follow Major Tournaments
-
Download games from events like the World Cup
-
Create personal crosstables, evaluate performance by round and color
2f) Monitor Progress and Compare with Friends
-
Create a weekly game list
-
Use filters by time control and site, and optionally by player names
-
Compare %Score, opponent strength, and Elo
2g) Export Performance Listing
-
Save results to CSV for archival or further analysis
3. OPENING EXPLORER TAB
Break down your opening repertoire:
3a) Which First Move Works Best?
-
Apply a Rapid game filter
-
Use Opening Explorer to compare % games won with 1.e4 vs. 1.d4
4. PLAYER TAB
Narrow down your analysis to specific players:
-
Use the Change button to select multiple players
-
Click Reread player list to refresh stats based on the selection
4a) Analyze Openings vs. Friends (e.g., Pete and John)
-
Filter by names, review Opening and %games columns to evaluate which openings work best
This new functionality turns Lucas Chess into a robust chess analysis platform — whether you’re monitoring your progress, investigating specific openings, or comparing stats with friends. Dive into the new Performance Rating tab and explore your games like never before!
